Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Shillong | Leisure Day

Upon arrival in Guwahati, you will be transferred to Shillong, passing by cascading waterfalls and lush landscapes. En route, visit Umiam Lake for a peaceful retreat. After spending some time at the lake, continue your journey to Shillong, and upon arrival, check in at the hotel. You can relax for the day or explore the city on your own. Phan Nonglait Park and Spread Eagle Falls are key attractions that we recommend, among others. Later, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Transfer to Cherrapunji | Cherrapunji Sightseeing Tour

Check out and get driven to Cherrapunji. En route, stop at the stunning Elephant Falls, a beautiful three-tiered waterfall. On arrival in Cherrapunji, embark on a city sightseeing tour. Admire the breathtaking Seven Sisters Waterfall and the towering NohKaLikai Falls, the tallest in India. Explore the Mawsmai and Arwah Caves, known for their impressive limestone formations. Later, check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Trek to Nongriat Double Decker Living Root Bridge

In the morning, you will be driven to Tyrna Village from the hotel for an exciting Nongriat Trek. Along the journey, enjoy the vibrant landscapes of Meghalaya. After reaching Tyrna Village, you will ascend 3,500 steps to Nongriat and visit the awe-inspiring Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Afterwards, you can also extend your hike to the Rainbow Falls at an extra cost. Later, get driven back from Tyrna village to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Transfer to Dawki via Mawlynnong | Trek to Single Decker Living Root Bridge

After checking out of the hotel, get driven to Dawki with a stop at Mawlynnong, famed as the ‘Cleanest Village of Asia.’ Trek to the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai Village, and take time to marvel at the fascinating Balancing Rock. After your trek, continue toward Dawki. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel, and later, you can explore the town at your own pace, visiting the pristine Umngot River, known as one of the cleanest rivers in India.

Day 5

Transfer to Shillong | En route Sightseeing

Check out and board your transfer to the Shnongpdeng Village, where you can indulge in adventure activities (extra cost) like kayaking, and boating. After this, continue your journey to Shillong. En route, visit the beautiful Krang Shuri Waterfalls, set amidst lush forests. Also, enjoy a hike on the stunning trails of Laitlum Canyon, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Once you reach your hotel in Shillong, check in for an overnight stay.

Day 6

Transfer to Guwahati | Visit to Kamakhya Devi Temple | Departure

In the morning, check out of the hotel and board your transfer to Guwahati. Upon arrival, visit the Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the oldest and most revered centres of Tantric practices, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. After the visit, continue your journey to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your departure. This is where your trip comes to an end.

- Please note that the driver might turn off the vehicle’s ACs while driving in hilly areas to optimise engine performance.
- It is advisable that you pack sturdy hiking shoes while going for the Nongriat Trek as the pathway is steep and slippery.
- It is recommended that you always carry an umbrella and warm clothes to avoid unexpected rainfall and temperature drops.
- Please note that necessary permits will be required to enter restricted areas.
- Carry back all non-degradable litter such as empty bottles, tins, plastic bags, etc. These must be disposed of in municipal dustbins only.
