Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Guwahati | Transfer to Cherrapunji | Sightseeing Tour
Upon arrival in Guwahati, you'll be driven to Cherrapunji. En route, stop at Umiam Lake, known for its serene beauty and crystal-clear water. Then, visit the Elephant Falls, a stunning two-tiered waterfall. Explore Arwah Caves, where you can spot fossils on the cave walls. Witness the Seven Sisters Falls and its seven segmented streams, followed by Nohkalikai Falls, India’s highest plunge waterfall, dramatically dropping from 1,115 ft. Later, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Trek to Nongriat Double Decker Living Root Bridge
Today, embark on a trek through Meghalaya’s stunning landscapes. The trek starts at Tyrna village, a hillside settlement known for its Khasi traditions. Climb down 3,000 stone steps that wind through lush forests and cross crystal-clear streams. As you reach Nongriat, stand in awe of the magnificent Double Decker Living Root Bridge– a living testament to Khasi ingenuity, crafted from the secondary roots of rubber trees over centuries. Later, get driven back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3
Transfer to Shillong | En Route Visit Dawki | Trip to Krang Shuri Falls & Laitlum Canyon
After checking out, you'll be driven to Shillong with stops en route. First, marvel at the Umngot River in Dawki, one of Asia’s cleanest lakes, where boats appear to float on air. Enjoy water activities (at extra cost) at Shnongpdeng before heading to Krang Shuri Falls, famous for its turquoise pool and natural rock formations. Ascend to Laitlum Canyon, offering breathtaking views of narrow valleys and rolling Khasi Hills. Later, check in at the hotel in Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 4
Visit to Kamakhya Devi Temple | Departure Day
After checking out, you'll be transferred to the Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya, symbolising feminine energy and fertility. Perched atop the Nilachal Hill, this ancient temple dates back to the 8th century and is a key pilgrimage site during the Ambubachi Mela, attracting nearly a million devotees each year. Later, you'll be driven to the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey. This marks the end of your trip.
