Day 1

Arrival in Johannesburg | Leisure Day

Welcome to South Africa! Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport, get transferred to your hotel. After checking in, enjoy some leisure time exploring the city. Visit The Johannesburg Art Gallery, which houses over 9,000 works, including South African masterpieces and international art collections. You can also visit the Market Theatre to experience dynamic plays, live performances, and exhibitions that highlight South Africa’s cultural diversity. Later, return to the hotel on your own.

Day 2

Johannesburg City Tour | Lesedi Cultural Village Tour

Begin your city tour at Mandela House, exploring Nelson Mandela’s life through artefacts and exhibits. Then, admire Nelson Mandela Bridge, famed for its modern suspension design and vibrant night lighting. Visit the lively Mary Fitzgerald Square, a key venue for concerts and festivals. Explore South Africa’s history at the Apartheid Museum, with compelling exhibits on the country’s journey to democracy. Finally, enjoy traditional dances at Lesedi Cultural Village before returning to the hotel.

Day 3

Transfer to Pilanesberg National Park | Afternoon Game Drive

After checking out, get driven to Pilanesberg National Park. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy a hearty lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. In this thrilling adventure, explore the park’s diverse landscapes in an open safari vehicle. As you traverse the terrain, you might encounter wildlife like elephants, lions, and rhinos, guided by an experienced ranger who will provide insights into their behaviour and habitats. Day 4

Game Drives at Pilanesberg National Park

Wake up to a sunrise over Pilanesberg National Park, where the golden light highlights the vast savannahs and rugged terrain. Begin your day with a thrilling morning game drive, searching for elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, and zebras among over 700 species of wildlife. After a delicious lunch, set out on an afternoon game drive for more wildlife encounters and scenic views. Return to your lodge to relax and recount the day's adventures.

Day 5

Transfer to Sun City | Leisure Day

After checking out from the lodge, head to Sun City for an adventure. Check in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure. You can soar through the skies while paragliding, taking in scenic aerial views of the city’s landscape and the vast Pilanesberg region. For an exciting challenge, you can explore the Maze of the Lost City, one of South Africa’s largest permanent mazes, where twists, turns, and hidden passages create a memorable puzzle experience. Return to the hotel to relax after a fun day.

Day 6

Day Trip to Valley of Waves

Today, head to the Valley of Waves, a renowned water park featuring thrilling attractions. Spend the day racing down adrenaline-pumping slides like the Temple of Courage or relaxing on the Lazy River. Try bodyboarding or surfing on the park’s artificial waves for an extra thrill. Whether you’re diving into the Roaring Lagoon or floating in the wave pool, there’s excitement for every adventurer. After an action-packed day, return to your hotel to unwind and reflect on the fun.

Day 7

Fly to Mossel Bay | Leisure Day

After checking out, get driven to Johannesburg Airport for your flight (at extra cost) to George Airport. Upon arriving at the airport, get transferred to Mossel Bay. Check in at the hotel and explore the locality on your own. Stroll along the pristine Santos Beach, taking in the coastal air and ocean views. You can also wander through the lively local markets to shop artisanal crafts and taste cuisine that offer an authentic flavour of Mossel Bay. Return to your hotel for a peaceful rest.

Day 8

Day Trip to Oudtshoorn

In the morning, get driven for a full-day trip to Oudtshoorn town. Begin by exploring the iconic Cango Caves and watch stunning limestone formations shaped over millions of years. Next, visit an Ostrich Farm for an engaging tractor tour, where you’ll learn about the birds through demonstrations and expert guides. Conclude by heading to the Cango Wildlife Ranch and observe animals like crocodiles, cheetahs, and lemurs up close. After a fun day, return to the hotel for some well-earned relaxation.

Day 9

Day Trip to Tsitsikamma

Today, set off for an engaging day trip to Tsitsikamma. Begin by walking across the Storms River Suspension Bridge, offering sweeping views of the Storms River below as it flows through the rugged valley. Next, witness the surrounding Storms River area amidst towering cliffs and coastal forests. Finally, visit Bloukrans Bridge, standing at 216 metres, the world’s highest commercial bridge for bungee jumping. After a day of exploration, get transferred to your hotel for a night stay.

Day 10

Transfer to Cape Town | Leisure Day

After checking out of the hotel, get transferred to Cape Town. Upon arrival, check in and spend the day at leisure. You might explore Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, home to indigenous flora like aloes and daisies, framed by the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Another option is Signal Hill, offering sweeping views of the city and the Atlantic, or witnessing the historic Noon Gun, a cannon that has been fired every day since 1806. Afterwards, return to your hotel on your own to unwind.

Day 11

Cape Town Sightseeing Tour

Today, explore Cape Town’s cultural and modern landmarks. Start with a tour of the Castle of Good Hope,the oldest colonial building in South Africa. Stroll through the vibrant Malay Quarter, known for its colourful houses and lively streets. Ascend Table Mountain by a cable car (extra cost) for scenic views of the city and coastline. Visit DHL Stadium, the famous venue for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Afterward, get driven to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12

Full Day Cape Point Tour

Start the day with a scenic drive to Hout Bay, a charming fishing village surrounded by dramatic cliffs. From here, embark on a boat ride (extra cost) to Seal Island, home to playful seals basking in the sun. Then, explore the Cape of Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park to enjoy sweeping ocean views from Cape Point, the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian oceans. Visit Boulders Beach to observe the adorable African penguins in their natural habitat before heading to the hotel.

Day 13

Leisure Day

On this day, set out to explore the city at your own pace. You can visit the Two Oceans Aquarium, home to fascinating marine species from both the Atlantic and Indian oceans, such as ragged-tooth sharks, African penguins, and vibrant tropical fish. Adventure seekers can try skydiving for an exhilarating freefall, or opt for paragliding to glide smoothly while enjoying breathtaking aerial views of the city. Afterward, return to your hotel on your own for an overnight stay.

Day 14

Departure Day

In the morning, check out of your hotel and get driven to the Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight. This marks the end of your trip. Have a safe journey ahead!

- If you're travelling with children, it is recommended to carry a copy of their birth certificates. If only one parent is travelling with the children, an affidavit from the other parent, providing consent for the trip, is required. The step has been taken by the South Africa Government to prevent child trafficking.
- While credit and debit cards are widely accepted, there are still a few places in South Africa that only take cash. It’s best to keep a small stash of notes and coins for purchases at corner stores or buying things from market traders.
- Public Wi-Fi is fairly easy to find in larger cities and more touristy towns, but if you’re planning on wandering far from the main population centres, it is worth picking up a South African SIM card on arrival at the airport.
- South Africa is generally a healthy and safe destination, but there are some health risks and challenges that you should be aware of and take precautions against. One of the common health issues that travellers may face in South Africa is malaria, which is prevalent in some parts of the country, especially in the lowveld areas of Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and northern KwaZulu-Natal.
- South Africa requires a valid International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) documenting yellow fever vaccination ≥10 days before arrival in South Africa for all travellers aged ≥1 year, travelling from or transiting for >12 hours through the airport of a country with risk for yellow fever virus transmission.
- The South African National Department of Health recommends that travellers practise mosquito avoidance year-round in malaria risk areas (Kruger National Park & KwaZulu Natal) and take malaria chemoprophylaxis during September–May.
- For a summer holiday in South Africa, you should pack light clothing suitable for hot and humid conditions. Avoid clothes made from thick denim, nylon or polyester because these become sticky and uncomfortable on sweltering hot days; rather choose cotton clothes that breathe easily.
- Bring a warm wind-proof jacket for the evenings, particularly if you are planning a safari tour in South Africa. It gets nippy on the open safari vehicles after the sun goes down. Long-sleeved shirts and long pants are recommended for a safari.
- Bring a good pair of sneakers for walking and for the safari trips, as well as casual sandals or flip-flops/slides. A wide-brimmed hat or peak and sunglasses are essential.
- For a winter holiday in South Africa, you need a combination of clothes. The days are usually fairly warm and pleasant throughout the country unless a cold front is moving through the region, but the temperatures drop rapidly as the sun is setting. Bring a comfortable warm jacket, bennie, gloves and closed shoes for late afternoon or night Safari tours.
- It is highly recommended that you take out comprehensive travel insurance for a holiday to South Africa, which should include cover for medical costs and medical evacuations.
